Here in Mechanicsburg summer means Jubilee Day. It is the largest and longest-running one-day street fair on the east coast and is estimated that nearly 70,000 people attend Jubilee Day each year. Mechanicsburg is a borough and home to many people who work in Harrisburg, which is just eight miles to the west.

Jubilee Day started in 1923 and was originally held in June to avoid the farmer's springtime responsibilities. Keeping cool is just as important to us, as enjoying the heat.
